View EXIF data
Shows camera, GPS, IPTC and XMP metadata of a photo as readable JSON.
Runs in your browser – your file is never uploaded
Frequently asked questions
Is my file uploaded?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser. The file never leaves your device – there is no server that could see it. Once the page has loaded, the tool even works offline.
Which metadata does the viewer show?
EXIF tags (camera make and model, exposure, ISO, focal length, date taken), the GPS position as decimal latitude and longitude, IPTC fields (keywords, city, copyright), XMP data, an ICC profile summary and basic image facts. Everything is grouped as JSON that you can copy or download.
Why does it say that no metadata was found?
Many apps strip metadata when they save or share an image: messaging apps, social networks, screenshots and most web exports. Images converted with our own tools also lose it unless “Keep metadata (EXIF)” was switched on.
How do I remove the GPS position from a photo?
Run the photo through one of our image converters or the compress tool with “Keep metadata (EXIF)” switched off – that is the default. The result contains no EXIF, GPS, IPTC or XMP data; only the colour profile is kept.
