Convert JSON to CSV
Turns a JSON array of objects into a CSV table for Excel and spreadsheets.
Runs in your browser – your file is never uploaded
Frequently asked questions
Is my file uploaded?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser. The file never leaves your device – there is no server that could see it. Once the page has loaded, the tool even works offline.
Which JSON structure is expected?
An array of objects at the top level: [{"id": 1, "name": "Anna"}, {"id": 2, "name": "Beat"}]. Every key that appears in any object becomes a column; objects without that key get an empty cell. An array of plain values becomes a single “value” column.
Excel shows everything in one column. Why?
Excel in German, French or Italian settings expects semicolons, not commas. Choose “Semicolon” as the separator and switch on the BOM so Excel also reads umlauts and accents correctly. Alternatively use Excel's “Data → From Text/CSV” import.
What happens to nested objects and arrays?
Nested objects are either flattened into dotted columns (“owner.name”) or written as JSON text in one cell – your choice. Arrays are always written as JSON text, because a table cell has no natural way to hold a list.
