Frequently asked questions
Is my file uploaded?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser. The file never leaves your device – there is no server that could see it. Once the page has loaded, the tool even works offline.
What exactly is shown?
The PDF version, file size, page count, and for every page its width and height in points and millimetres, its rotation and – if it matches – the paper name (A4, Letter …). Plus title, author, subject, keywords, creator, producer, creation and modification dates, and whether the file is encrypted. The result is JSON you can copy or download.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Partly. The page structure of an encrypted PDF is readable, so you still get the page count and sizes. Title, author and the other text fields are encrypted and are reported as empty.
Why are sizes given in points?
Points are the native unit of PDF (1 pt = 1/72 inch). A4 is 595.28 × 841.89 pt, Letter 612 × 792 pt. We add millimetres next to them so you can read the values without converting.
