Frequently asked questions
Is my file uploaded?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser. The file never leaves your device – there is no server that could see it. Once the page has loaded, the tool even works offline.
What do I get back?
A ZIP archive with one PDF per part, named after the original file and the page numbers it contains (e.g. “report-pages-1-3.pdf”). If the split produces only one part, you get that PDF directly.
How do I pull out just one section?
Choose “By page ranges” and enter a single range such as “5-9”. You get one PDF with exactly those pages – the “Extract PDF pages” tool does the same with a slightly simpler form.
Does the PDF lose quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are: text stays text, vector graphics stay vectors and images keep their resolution. Nothing is re-rendered or recompressed.
Are bookmarks, links and form fields kept?
Links and annotations that belong to a page are copied with it. Bookmarks (the outline) and the form structure are document-wide and are not carried over – a limitation of copying pages into a fresh file.
What about password-protected PDFs?
They are not supported yet. Open the file in a PDF viewer, enter the password, save a copy without protection and use that copy here.
