Frequently asked questions

Is my file uploaded?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser. The file never leaves your device – there is no server that could see it. Once the page has loaded, the tool even works offline.

Is this a real watermark? Can it be removed?

It is a text layer drawn on top of each page – the standard way PDF watermarks work. Anyone with a PDF editor can remove it, so treat it as a visible label, not as copy protection. The original page content is not changed.

Which characters can the text contain?

The text is set in Helvetica, one of the fonts every PDF viewer has built in – so nothing needs to be embedded. That font covers Latin letters including accents (é, ü, ç …), digits and common punctuation. Greek, Cyrillic, Asian scripts and emoji are not available; you get a clear message instead of a box.

Does it work on rotated or mixed-size pages?

Yes. The watermark is placed relative to each page as it is displayed, so it appears upright and centred on portrait, landscape and rotated pages alike. Text that would not fit is scaled down for that page.

Are bookmarks, links and form fields kept?

Yes. The file is edited in place, so bookmarks, links, form fields and attachments stay exactly as they were.

What about password-protected PDFs?

They are not supported yet. Open the file in a PDF viewer, enter the password, save a copy without protection and use that copy here.
