Is my file uploaded?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser. The file never leaves your device – there is no server that could see it. Once the page has loaded, the tool even works offline.
Will the image be distorted?
No. You set only one side; the other is calculated in the right proportion. Cropping to a fixed aspect ratio is a separate tool.
Can I enlarge images too?
Yes, with the “Enlarge smaller images” switch. Enlarging doesn't create new detail, though – the image gets softer. For real AI upscaling we plan a separate tool.
What happens to EXIF data such as camera model or GPS position?
By default we remove all metadata, including GPS coordinates. If you want to keep it, switch on “Keep metadata (EXIF)”. The image orientation is applied correctly either way.
