Frequently asked questions
Is my file uploaded?
Yes. This is one of the few tools that need our server, because the program behind it cannot run in a browser. The file travels encrypted, is processed in an isolated container without network access, and is deleted immediately after your download – at the latest after an hour. It is never stored, read or passed on.
Why not in the browser like the short clips?
Because quality has a price in computing time. Our browser tools handle clips under 30 seconds; anything longer, larger or in full HD would take many minutes on a phone or run out of memory. Here real processors do the work – you wait once and get a proper result.
How long does it take?
A three-minute clip in 1080p takes roughly one to three minutes. In 4K it can be five to fifteen minutes, and H.265 is slower still. The page shows real progress, not a spinner, and you can cancel at any time.
Which limits apply?
Up to three minutes, up to 4K, up to 600 MB. The file is checked before it enters the queue, so an oversized video is refused straight away instead of blocking the machine for everyone.
Why do I have to wait?
Your job joins a queue and runs on a real machine. The page shows which step it is on – upload, queue, processing, download – and you can cancel at any time. Nothing runs in the background after you leave.
