Frequently asked questions
Is my file uploaded?
Yes. This is one of the few tools that need our server, because the program behind it cannot run in a browser. The file travels encrypted, is processed in an isolated container without network access, and is deleted immediately after your download – at the latest after an hour. It is never stored, read or passed on.
Why is the cut sometimes a moment off?
Without re-encoding, a video can only be cut at a keyframe – those sit up to a second apart. That mode is instant and loses no quality. Switch on “cut exactly at the second” if you need the frame you asked for; the clip is then re-encoded, which takes longer.
Why do I have to wait?
Your job joins a queue and runs on a real machine. The page shows which step it is on – upload, queue, processing, download – and you can cancel at any time. Nothing runs in the background after you leave.
